Mayor John G. Ducey and the Township Council cut the ribbon at the newly renovated Forge Pond Tennis Courts, on Monday, May 1st. The project, which was started last Fall, was much needed after the courts fell into a state of disrepair over the past decade.
“The Forge Pond Tennis Courts have been in need of major renovations for some time now,” explained Mayor Ducey. “I’m glad that we could finally bring them back to the pristine condition our residents deserve, and that the High School tennis teams can now start using them again.”
“The Mayor and Council were joined by tennis teams from both Brick Memorial and Brick Township High School, Police Chief Riccio and representatives from the Brick School District and CME Associates, which is the engineering firm that oversaw construction.
The Forge Pond Tennis Courts are located adjacent to the Brick Municipal Complex. They are open to the public and hours of operation are from dawn to dusk.
