Brick Honors Volunteers with Recognition Luncheon

BRICK – Mayor John G. Ducey and the Brick Senior Services staff held a Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday to honor Township volunteers at the Township’s Senior Center. Brick Council President Paul Mummolo and Senior Services Director Zulma Soto were on hand to present awards to all the volunteers.

“Some of you are here every week, others once a month and others a few times a year to help with special events,” said Zulma Soto. “We have dance instructors, group coordinators, art instructors, party helpers and those that prepare taxes. Together you have spent hundreds of hours in this room giving of yourselves in one way or another and we appreciate it very much,” continued Soto.

The award recipients included volunteers from AARP who spent the past several months helping seniors complete their 2015 taxes.

“You have helped us make a positive difference in the lives of seniors in our community,” said Council President Mummolo. “Please enjoy this luncheon as a token of our appreciation for all you do here in Brick.”
