BRICK – Mayor John G. Ducey and Brick Township Recreation hosted a Challenger Dance on Friday at the Civic Plaza.
The dance, for ages 10 to 25, was filled with dance machines and smiling faces. The DJ played all the hits as dancers sang along and showed off their best moves. The Brick Recreation Staff led the way as parents chaperoned and socialized from the sidelines. Everyone enjoyed light snacks and refreshments and looked forward to the next two Challenger Dances – April 29th and September 30th, also at Civic Plaza – 270 Chambers Bridge Road in Brick.
The Brick Recreation Challenger Dances are designed to offer a socialization opportunity between students with disabilities and their peers.
